I’ve spent my adult life in rhythm with plants, creativity, history, & heritage, living close to the earth, making things by hand, raising my family with herbs, &  tracing the traditions &  stories of Mobile’s Creole community.

Over the years, those interests stopped feeling like separate parts of my life. Herbal knowledge, ancestral wisdom, historical research, storytelling, &  everyday living all began to point back to the same thing: understanding our roots helps us better understand how we live now.

That idea is at the heart of my work.

I share practical herbal knowledge meant for real life, stories drawn from overlooked history, research that helps preserve cultural memory, &  traditions that keep us connected to the people &  places that came before us.

My approach to rooted living is simple &  grounded. It is not about recreating the past or following a perfect set of rules. It is about carrying useful knowledge forward, paying attention to the natural world, understanding where our traditions come from, &  choosing what still has value in our lives today.

As an author, Holistic Living Specialist &  Master Herbalist, I bring those threads together through books, historical research, education, talks, &  hands-on demonstrations.

Whether I am writing about Mobile Creole history, sharing herbal practices, or exploring ancestral traditions, my goal is the same: to make meaningful knowledge accessible, useful, &  worth carrying forward.

If you are drawn to plants, history, heritage, old stories, forgotten places, &  the wisdom people have passed from one generation to the next, you are in the right place.

TESTIMONIALS

I’ve known Bekka for many years, and what began with me buying her Liberty Tea (still one of my favorite offerings!) has grown into something foundational in both my life and my work.

As I deepened my own journey into herbalism for emotional and physical healing and eventually began offering Iridology Reports through Eye Am Wellness, Bekka became one of my most trusted herbal resources. Her depth of knowledge, intuitive connection to plants, and years of lived experience make her an invaluable partner in this work.

A few honest words can make a big difference for an independent author. Reviews help other readers know what to expect and help small books travel farther than one person could carry them alone.
